FemCity Founder, Violette de Ayala and featured teacher and Global FEM  Colleen Lloyd-Roberts discussed "How to Start a Side Hustle".

Here are some tips that were shared in the classroom.

  1. Create a mindset of being an Entrepreneur. You will have ups and downs and everything else in between. Embrace the challenges and obstacles. The stumbling blocs will make you a more seasoned business women and sharpen your business savyness.
  2. Create time time blocks in your schedule and only work on those business tasks during that time. No socializing during the time! Just business.
  3. Print out a sign if you are working at home to state that you are in work mode. Place the sign on your home office door or at your desk. This helps to notify other members of the household, you are not to be disturbed. It's business time!
  4. Get your work space tidy and organized. If you don't have an official workspace, create a business in a box and place all the items you need to work within the box so you can be more mobile.
  5. Organize your computer and create folders to make items more accessible to reach. Your time is limited while you create your side hustle, so things need to be easy to grasp.
  6. Ask yourself, does this task create money? Will this action plan create wealth for my business? If so, go for it!
  7. Create systems that help you launch multiple streams of revenue. This will take some time to create, but it will bring you growth.

Embrace challenge, there is no better time to launch...so launch a side hustle now!
