Fisayo's journey is so magical and a great story of following passion, heart and bringing it back to big positive social impact.
About Fisayo Che // Fisayo Che, a dedicated mother of three, is the visionary founder behind Elisamama, an apparel brand catering to women and children. Fisayo established the brand in 2020, motivated by the passion to craft a different version of the Nigerian story. She launched the brand, keenly driven by the desire to bring jobs to Nigeria in a way that uplifts, empowers and improves quality of life. With her work at Elisamama, Fisayo also aspires to contribute to a new narrative, one where Nigeria shines as a global fashion leader.
Elisamama is a celebration of impact, joy and easy-to-wear style. Their products are meticulously crafted using locally sourced materials and traditional Nigerian techniques. The brand prioritizes vibrant Ankara prints and intricately hand dyed textiles on fabric made from cotton grown locally in Nigeria. Fisayo strives to push the boundaries of design by infusing African-inspired elements with contemporary aesthetics to create garments that are accessible to a global community.
In just a few short years, Elisamama has already left an indelible mark with presence at luxury retailers and specialty stores across the U.S. The brand is going on its 13th season at Saks Fifth Avenue and was recently selected as part of the 2023 Saks New Wave program for promising emerging brands. Elisamama's garments are also stocked at ShopBop, Tuckernuck, Maisonette and about 20 specialty boutiques across the U.S
Fisayo's Elisamama journey is a testament to the harmony of profits and purpose. She is excited to prove that when driven by a strong sense of mission, business success and making a positive impact can indeed go hand in hand.
